Heartburn and acid reflux relief is a condition where the person experiences the reflux of stomach contents due to factors, many of which can be prevented. This condition can occur in children and adults alike if the circumstances are optimum for it. The condition is actually caused by the stomach contents being released into the esophagus and may even reach the mouth. This can result to a damaged esophagus and trachea if this occurs frequently. There are various treatment options available for heartburn and acid reflux relief. To be able to treat heartburn and acid reflux relief, one should know what caused this condition in the first place.
Causes Of heartburn and acid reflux relief
A need for an acid reflux diet is one thing that may be necessary for those who commonly experience this condition due to food intake. Heartburn and acid reflux relief is usually caused by outside factors such as the kinds of food that the person takes in, the state of the stomach (both inside the body and outside of it) and stress.
Spicy, greasy and fatty foods usually cause heartburn and acid reflux relief because the stomach has a difficult time digesting these types of foods. Excessive amounts of these can be doubly difficult for the stomach because eating too much triggers the condition as well. The state of the stomach refers to the physical state which can be affected by clothes that can be too tight around the abdomen or the posture of the person while sitting. Heartburn and acid reflux relief can be triggered by the occurrence of a sitting position that can interfere with the proper digestion of food.
Treatment
Treatment for the stated causes of heartburn and acid reflux relief can be the aforementioned acid reflux diet where the individual will need to limit the intake of food that can trigger a bout of acid reflux. The amount of food ingested should also be kept to the normal amount instead of over eating. Clothes that are too tight, especially around the abdomen, should also be given a wide berth if the individual is prone to heartburn and acid reflux relief.
Slouching while seated should also be avoided especially after a heavy meal. This can compress the stomach and trigger heartburn and acid reflux relief. The lack of gravity while lying down can also contribute to a bout of acid reflux. Even bending over during meals or after a particularly heavy meal can cause the stomach contents to regurgitate.
